Sweetest Day!

Happy Sweetest Day!  I couldn't let this holiday pass by without making something for my sweeties :)  I used some of my new Stampin' Up! supplies to make some cute treat holders for my kids.

I used the new DSP Pawsitively Prints (118060) and the new Mistletoe ribbon (116792) from the new Holiday Mini-catalog.  This is a really cute traingle box that I filled with skittles for my kids to enjoy.  The box is made out of pretty in pink cardstock.  The stamp is xoxo from the "Define Your Life" set (114950) stamped in old olive ink.  I also used SNAIL adhesive.  The box is wrapped in the pretty  in pink and olive plaid paper from the DSP set and the sentiment is stamped with old olive on white cardstock and matted on the reverse side of the DSP plaid paper which is an old olive print.  Pretty cute, huh?  I'm pretty sure my kids will love them.  Very quick and easy to make - I saw a similar design at MegaStampin Studio - Thanks gals!
Here you can see the back of the box and the plaid paper a lttle bit better.  Email me if you're interested in these, or any other Stampin' Up! products - I'd be happy to help you place an order!

Love Sparkles Again

Well, I had scraps leftover from my last mini-album (over 1/2 the kit was left) so I decided to try another mini-album.  This one is the same idea as my boo album posted a few days ago.  It was a design I got from Ustamp Fall 09.  This little book only uses 1 sheet of 12x12 cardstock to create and then you can embellish it any way you'd like.  I used the stickers from the Simply Scrappin' kit.  The kit used here is Love Sparkles (retired) but it would be cute with any of the current kits.

Here's the tutorial so you can make one of your own!!  Please email me if you have any questions, or if you'd like to order any Stampin' Up! products for yourself!

Mini-Album from 1 sheet of 12x12 cardstock

– adapted from Mary-Jane Roussel (SU Demo – France) on UStamp Fall 09

Supplies:

1 -12x12 cardstock of your choice

Stamps:

Your choice for your theme/design

Ink:

Your choice to coordinate with your cardstock

Accessories:

Paper trimmer with scoring blade

SNAIL adhesive

Bone Folder

Other embellishments as desired

Trim 2” off the bottom of your cardstock; cut the 2” piece into (2) pieces 2 x 5 ¾". Score your cardstock at 6” along the 12” side and at 4” along the 10” side. Fold on all score lines. Cut out the bottom 4 x 6” piece and save for later use. If desired, random stamp the album base and all cut pieces to decorate. ( see 1st photo below).

Fold up bottom 4 x 6” piece on the Right side of the album. Adhere with SNAIL, buttons, brads etc. Score each of the 2 x 5 ¾’ pieces at ¼ “along the long side. Fasten these pieces to the Left side of the album, near the bottom, using SNAIL, brads, etc., as desired.  (See 2nd photo below).

Mat the remaining 4 x 6” piece (I trimmed mine slightly) on coordinating DSP or cardstock and insert into the pocket of the Right side of the album. Decorate the front and remaining “pages” of the album as desired.   (See 3rd photo below).

Lovely Mini-Album

Hey there, me again...this time with a cute little mini-album I made.  The orginal design was by Dawn Raspas at UstampFall09  and I, of course, adapated the colors/theme for my needs.  This little album was made using a Love Sparkles Simply scrappin' kit from Stampin' Up!.  It is now a retired kit, but any of the other adorable kits could be substitued.  This album also uses On Board Book Basics Small and of course a paper trimmer, SNAIL adhesive and a bone folder were also used.

This album is quite different than most in that the pages are not flat - they have some dimension to them.  I think it's kind of neat.  If you're interested in ordering these, or any other Stampin' Up! products, please email

Goblins & Ghouls, anyone?

So, I was feeling the Halloween spirit and decided to make this cute little album.  This album was designed by Mary-Jane Roussell for Ustamp with Dawn  & Friends Fall 09 and it was SO easy!  I did alter the book slightly, but it only took 1 sheet of 12x12 cardstock for the album, 1/2 sheet of a contrasting color for accents and a few scraps of patterned/designer paper to finish it off.  I think it turned out adorable.!

So you don't stamp? Part 2

So, you still don't know if Stampin' Up! products are for you?  Well, check this out:  Remember the cards and box I made with 1/2 of a Pretty Petals Simply Scrappin kit?  This is what I made with the other half!  This mini flap album was designed by Jenny Moors of Ustamp Fall 09 and was easy to make.  I think it turned out really cute too!  And again, no stamping was done on this project....all I needed was my Simply Scrappin kit (1/2 package used - it contains cardstock, designer paper, and stickers), SNAIL adhesive, Sticky Strip, paper cutter, paper snips and ribbon.  I used a non-Stampin' Up! ribbon here, but one of their grosgrain ribbons would work just as well.  I still have LOTS of leftover stickers and paper, enough to make some more cards or scrap some photos.  If you are interested in ordering these, or other Stampin' Up products, please email me!!  Don't forget about the specials they have currently too - see the posts below for the specials AND for the project I made with the other half of the kit.

So you say you don't stamp!?! :)

That's ok!! Stampin Up supplies may still be perfect for you!! Here's a picture of a card box and cards I made following a sample made by Jenny Moors of UStamp Fall 09. I adapted her directions slightly to show how you can still create beautiful cards, even without stamping! These were made with HALF of a Pretty Petals Simply Scrappin kit (I have tons left over - I can make another set, scrapbook OR try something else) and required no stamping at all. Only cutting, gluing and being creative!! This clever box will hold my 9 cards and envelopes and would make an adorable gift for someone, don't you think? If you're interested in ordering this or any other Stampin Up product, please email me here. I'm currently offering all my 1st time customers a 10% discount on orders up to $50 and a 15% discount on orders of $50 or more!!
