Easter Peek - Revealed

Here is what was hiding in the Easter Treat Carrier I posted yesterday:

These are made with the mini-milk carton die in the Big Shot using Pawsitively Prints DSP, pinking hearts border punch, Eggcellent Eggs kit, spiral clips (to hold them closed),  glue dots and dimensionals.  Aren't they cute?  Perfect for easter goodies for the kids!

Here's a look at the spiral clips holding the cartons closed and in the treat carrier:

The carrier was made from the same papers as the cartons and I used the word window punch to make the handle.

Easter Peek

Here's part of a project I recently completed....I'll show you the rest tomorrow.  I got the pattern and idea from Create with Connie and Julies' Mary Brown (see my side bar on the left)
This is a little carrier for an Easter treat...it uses some of the new Stampin' Up! products available now.

This is the DSP pawsitively prints and the Eggcellent Eggs decorating kit - it includes die cut flowers, leaves and swirls along with rhinestones and rub ons - too cute!  I also used whisper white cardstock, wide oval, scallop oval and oval punches and the Eggcoutrements clear mount stamp set that I colored with a Stampin' Write marker.  Colors are pretty in pink, so saffron, pale plum, bliss blue, bashful blue and certainly celery. The ribbon is the new satin pretty in pink ribbon available.  Of course I also used dimensionals, SNAIL, paper trimmer, scissors and glue dots.
I'll leave you with this shot of what's coming tomorrow....

Christmas in February

I have been working on this Christmas Album since Thanksgiving...that's when my sister graciously organized, cut and assembled these albums for our family get together.  I have been slowly finishing the pages and am now ready to add pictures!  Over the next couple days, I'm going to show you the album pages...

This is the front of the book and below is the 1st page.
Here are pages 3 and 4:

I hand pieced the Christmas tree on the right side of the page.  This uses a variety of cardstock, designer and patterned papers, stickers, die cuts, ribbons, buttons, brads, and rhinestones from lots of different manufacturers.  Here is a closer shot of the tree:
And here is a closer shot of the christmas cookie pages:

What do you think?  I'll show you the rest of the pages tomorrow

Punch Art - Valentine Style

Here's a couple cards I made using punch art for valentines for my kids....I think they are so adorable!  This little skunk is something I saw on Cindy Lawrences' blog and she got the idea from Splitcoast Stampers.  I used pretty in pink, regal rose, basic black, whisper white and going grey cardstock.  I also used the well scripted stamp set, I {Heart} Hearts stamp set, and the pinking hearts border punch, the new heart embosslit die and a white gel pen.  The ears are punched circles, the body is punched ovals, the face is the ornament punch, the nose is from the heart trio punch, the paws are from the modern lable punch ends and the eyes are punches.  The stripe was freehand cut and colored with a black stampin' write marker.  I also used some American Crafts ribbon and retired Stampin' Up! DSP and the pinking hearts border punch.

Here's another punch art card I made for my sons (my daughter got the skunk).  I CASEd this from Jackie Topa  and you can find the directions for creating him on her blog.  This also used a variety of Stampin' Up! punches, including the scallop trim border punch, the same retired DSP (just used the pattern on the other side of the paper), american crafts ribbon.  Mine is a little different from hers, but I followed her directions pretty closely.

Here's the card I made for my other son....everything is the same except for the ribbon.  The cardstock colors are regal rose, sahara sand, very vanilla, basic black, whisper white, and pretty in pink.

And here are the pull out pages.
I used a variety of Stampin' Up! punches: heart, tab, scallop square, and scallop circle.  I also used basic black ink and  A Happy Heart stamp set.

Valentine Treat Holders

Here's some treat holders I made for my nieces and nephews...follows the same basic pattern as the coupon/gift card holders made previously.  Instead of a mini envelope inside, however, there's a candy treat attached with glue dots.

The patterned paper is from K & Company, the cardstock is basic black, pretty in pink, and whisper white.  I used real red ink and several stamp sets and punches from Stampin' Up!

Here's a close up of one of the treat holders and here's the inside with the treat attached:

Valentine's - Again

Here's another Valentine's Day project - similar to one I posted a few days ago.  This is a gift card holder (or you can make custom coupons to put in there for your sweetie).  It's a very simple project to create:
1.  Start with a 4x11" piece of cardstock.
2.  Score along the long side at 4 1/4" and 8 3/4"; crease and fold.
3.  Scallop/punch top edge, if desired.
4.  Decorate outside as desired with stamps, stickers, photos etc.
5.  Inner pocket:  start with a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of cardstock, scored at 1/2" on 3 sides.
6.  Crease on score lines.  Punch 1/2 of a circle out of top (unscored) edge.
7.  Adhere pocket inside envelope/holder.
8.  Insert gift card in pocket (or make coupons entitling the bearer to a home cooked meal, night out, time along etc.) and embellish front of pocket as desired.
9.  This is tied shut with a ribbon, but you could also adhere an ebellishment to the front of the envelope that you tuck the flap under to hold shut (see previous post here for an example.)
10.  Further embellish the holder, if desired.

This is a picture of the back of the holder.  Here is the inside, once opened.
Coupons approximately 2 1/4" square fit in the pocket.

Supplies used:  whisper white cardstock, basic black ink, well scripted stamp set, scalloped square punch, paper from K & company, ribbon, stickers, All My Heart stamp set, modern label punch, 1" circle punch, pinking hearts border punch, real red cardstock,

Hoppy Valentine's Day - CCJC4

I am so proud of myself :)  I created this little punch art frog to match my valentine paper....it's also my entry in the Create with Connie and Julie challenge this week (see the blinkie on my sidebar to the left)

I found these frog candies and already had this froggy themed paper so I thought it would make a cute valentine gift for one of my kids' teachers, she LOVES frogs!
I decided I wanted to try to  make an embellishment to match the paper (the paper is by K & Company) to decorate the packaging....so I pulled out all my punches and went to work.  I used several round punches in various sizes, a heart punch and the large oval punch.  Colors used are old olive, pretty in pink, real red, very vanilla, basic black and pixie pink cardstock.  I sponged the edges of the frog with gable green ink.  I used a bone folder to score my paper, punched the edge with the scallop edge punch, and used SNAIL adhesive to make my belly band and stick on the frog.

Here's the card I made to go with it:
