Valentine Gift Card Holder/Coupon Holder

This is a project we will be making at my local MOPS meeting next week...it's a Valentine's Gift Card Holder (although we will be filling ours with coupons for our sweeties - kids and husbands!).
Here is a picture of the inside/opened holder.
I used Stampin' Up! basic black and regal rose cardstock and inks and marker...patterened paper scraps I had on hand and a ribbon scrap I had leftover from another project.  I also used the scallop circle punch, round punch, a MS border punch, glue dots a a couple different stamp sets.
We're going to use our "creative minds" to come up with coupons such as "Free guys night out - guilt free", "30 minutes extra computer/game time", "Baked treat - your choice", "Your favorite foods cooked for you" etc., etc....
Can you think of others we could use?

Vintage Valentine

Hi there...I seem to be on a roll with the valentine projects...this project was from Andrea Walfords' ning class - to make a "vintage valentine" for your sweetie.  Mine is definitely different than hers, but I'm still happy with how it turned out.

This is a lot "frillier" than cards I usually make, but I'm happy with the result.  Here's the inside:

Supplies used: Basic Black ink and cardstock, Regal Rose ink and cardstock, Love Sparkles DSP from the Simply Scrappin' Kit, Watercolor wonder crayons, blender pen, So Many Sayings, Love You Much, & A Happy Heart stamp sets, ribbon, prima flowers, adhesive pearls, ticket corner punch, Martha Stewart border punch, scallop oval punch, Top Note Die, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, River Rock Ink, sponge, SNAIL adhesive, dimensionals and glue dots and a turquoise scrap of paper I had.

Valentine for my Sweetie! CCJC2

This valentine project was an idea I got from Andrea Walford's Sunny Stampin' classroom on Ning and is one of my entries in the Create with Connie & Julie color challenge this week. I modified the stamps to suit my needs....I plan on filling the cards with notes to my hubby about the things I love/like/admire about him!!

All supplies are from Stampin' Up! and include chocolate chip, real red, pretty in pink and whisper white cardstock.  I also used ribbon from the holiday mini-catalog, paper snips, DSP from the Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' Kit, The More the Merrier stamp set, SNAIL adhesive, dimensionals, From the Kitchen of stamp set, Modern Label punch, Heart to heart punch and A Happy Heart stamp set.

The glittered chipboard heart and the tiny heart brads are non-stampin' up products.

Beary Sweet Valentine! CCJC2

Here is my 2nd entry in the Create with Connie and Julie color challenge this week.  This cute little valentine was similar to something I saw in an Oriental Trading catalog...I copied and modified it to suit my needs using supplies from Stampin' Up! that I had on hand.

Colors used are real red, pretty in pink and chocolate chip.  I also used some the heart to heart punch, ribbon from the holiday mini catalog, a black stampin write marker, the scallop oval, 1/4" circle  and modern label punch.  I did print part of the sentiment on my computer as I did not have a stamp that stated what I wanted.

I hand cut the "arms" and sponged the edges of the bear with chocolate chip ink.  The sentiment reads:  "A great BIG bear hug for you today, To show you I care in every way."
What do you think?

Cool Cocktails....

I saw an album made by Tresa Black, that was similar to this a while back...in fact, these are her recipes.  I thought it was SO cute that I had to try one of my own....

Here's some of the pictures of the inside pages...

and another....

There are divided sections for Martinis, Margaritas, Shooters and Tiki Drinks....
Here is one of the recipe sections:

and some more pages....

and more recipes...I made "pocket" pages for the recipe cards to be slipped in and out of.

and some more pages...

and recipes again....

Each section had it's own color and matching tab.

and last set of recipes...

And finally, here's the back cover.  I did add some ribbon to the binder rings that isn't shown in the picture.

There was a variety of products and colors used and I think it turned out pretty well.  This was my first use of a clear, acrylic album and I was pleased with how it went together.  The pictures of all my "cool cocktails" were stock photos I printed from the internet.
What do you think?

Christmas Album - Take 2

For another teacher, I handmade this album:

Again, this album was made with the Simply Scrappin' Kit Jingle from Stampin' Up! and features the colors real red, very vanilla, old olive and chocolate chip.
Here's the backside:

This was a project featured on Dawn Raspas' U Stamp with Dawn and Friends that I tweaked to suit my needs.

This album was easy to assemble and decorate using the patterned papers and adhesive die cuts that are included in the kit.

There's plenty of space for pictures and journaling...

And here's the last page...

I hope she enjoys placing her pictures of her precious family into the album.  I love giving (and receiving) homemade gifts.

Email me if you want to place an order!!

Christmas Jingle Album

This is one of the albums I made for teacher presents.  This used pieces I had left over from the Simply Scrappin' Jingle Kit from Stampin' Up!

Colors were real red, very vanilla, old olive and chocolate chip.
Here's a few of the inner pages (I won't show you them all)

I left lots of blank areas for adding additional pictures, artwork or journaling.
Here's the back cover:

the album ties closed with old olive ribbon.  This came together fairly quickly, just using scraps and leftovers I had from other projects.
More christmas presents will be showcased soon, keep watching :)

Merry Christmas

These are the christmas cards I sent out this year - 80 or so in all!  I did use a variety of cardstock colors (from traditional christmas green to red, maroon, and even a sage and light green) along with different coordinating patterned paper.

The gingerbread man stamp is from Paper Trey Ink and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up!  I was quite proud of figuring out this "fancy fold" all by myself.  Here is the card opening....

And finally, on the inside, the picture of my cuties!!  I was late sending these out this year because we were delayed in getting the kids' pictures taken.  I did have several different poses that I placed in the various cards, along with the annual Christmas Letter that my husband writes - it's a hoot!

Mini Album

This cute little mini album was a project featured on Ustamp a while back.  It was quite easy to do and featured new stamp sets and has many pages.  This is a picture of the box that houses the mini album.  Below is a picture of the front of the album.

This was made with one of the Simply Scrappin' kits that Stampin' Up! offers...change the kit and change the theme of the album.

Here is a shot of some of the interior pages....

I'm not going to show you all the pages, but here's a few more...

Don't the die cut stickers make the cutest page embellishments?
And lastly, here is a picture of the back of the album...again embellished with some of the die cut stickers in the kit.

I gave this to one of my kids' childcare workers....she can add her own photos and journaling. Email me if you'd like to place an order or want any additional information on any of Stampin' Ups great products:  inks, stamps, simply scrappin kits, ribbons and embellishments.

Merry Christmas Advent Calendar!

Ok, so I'm not quite so far behind with these pictures :)  This is an advent calendar we made at out MOPS group for counting down the days until Christmas.  I used the Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' Jingle Kit....with plenty of pieces leftover for other crafts (which I'll show you later ...I used the extras to make presents for the kids teachers at school).  I also used Stampin' Ups! new digital photo software, My Digital Studio, to create some of the embellishments.

I filled the pockets of mine with the ABCs of Advent - little lessons for the kids regarding the advent seasons.  They really enjoyed it BUT you could also use small pieces of candy - as shown here.  I also used My Digital Stuio to design parts of the embellishments...very easy to print, cut and adhere!

The nice thing about this Advent Calendar is that we can use it over and over!!  Yeah!!  Email me if you'd like more information (the tutorial for this is available for $7.00 - or FREE with a qualifying purchase of a Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up!) or to place an order:  here
